Lesson Attendance
Lessons are confirmed on a weekly basis via email. While regular, weekly lesson times are encouraged, the studio recognizes conflicts and illness happen.
While most students tend to work with either Ms. Talamantes or Mr. Wilkerson, scheduling conflicts may arise and you are encouraged to work with whomever is available.
In the rare event of a student’s sudden illness please notify your instructor as soon as possible.
Cancellation Policy
The TW Voice Studio asks for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel a lesson. This is to ensure that we can reschedule your lesson and/or potentially move someone off the waiting list and into that slot. Notification with less than 24 hours’ notice results in forfeiting the lesson and fee.
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we sympathize with our students. However, we want to be fair to everyone, so we cannot absorb the responsibility of last-minute cancellations, regardless of the reason; with the exception of our illness policy* (see below).
If you feel that you might be getting sick or have been potentially exposed to a virus, we encourage you to cancel with as much notice as possible and reschedule your lesson. We want to prioritize the health and safety of everyone in our community.
*If you do need to cancel due to illness or exposure, we will waive our 24-hour cancellation policy. And if you feel well enough to continue with your lesson, we do offer a virtual option that you can take advantage of.
Inclement Weather Policy
When Fairfax County Public Schools close for inclement weather, all lessons will shift to virtual via Zoom.
However, if you live close enough to the Studio, please contact us when schools are closed if you would like to schedule a lesson or keep your scheduled in-person lesson. We are happy to accommodate last-minute schedule changes in these situations as long as we can maintain a clear driveway and sidewalks to avoid hazardous conditions for you.
